CADEN KICKSTARTS CAREER
Following the inaugural year of Hawthorn College of Sport, former student Caden is one of many success stories to emerge from the program so far.
Initially from Western Australia, Caden made the move across the Nullarbor to join the Hawthorn College of Sport at the beginning of 2025.
Showcasing his keen work ethic from the outset, Caden was lucky enough to be mentored by best-in-industry leaders and football staff, including key Hawthorn personnel from within the Club’s elite high-performance environment.
In the classroom, Caden continuously applied himself and made the most of the rare opportunities offered in the exclusive program as he prepared to take the next steps in his employment journey.
As part of his work immersion, Caden completed an internship with Hawthorn’s membership team in 2025, gaining invaluable experience during one of the busiest periods of the season, in addition to building relationships with key staff.
Following his successful internship, Caden was offered a casual position within the team, where he had the opportunity to further develop his skills in major campaigns, including the AFL Finals and the 2026 membership renewal period.
Caden’s success didn’t stop there, with more good news coming following his graduation from the program.
Not only did Caden walk away with a Dual Diploma of Sport (SIS50321) and Leadership and Management (BSB50420) from Box Hill Institute, but he also gained full-time employment at Hawthorn as its Membership Operations Graduate.
Caden’s current role sees him offer customer service to members and assisting with day-to-day operations within the team, including reporting, data entry and reception duties, immediately becoming a valuable asset to the team.
"Studying with the College of Sport has exposed me to so many opportunities, both on and off the field,” Caden said.
“Hawthorn has created the perfect environment to put my leadership, communication and teamwork skills into practice."
